I am currently living in San Jose, California, with my wife Anne Marie and our dog Indie Rock. I am currently employed by Google Inc. (GOOG) as a software engineer at the headquarter in Mountain View, California.

I grew up in Larvik, Norway, where I lived until I finished high school in 2000. I then joined the army for a year in Harstad, before I moved to Oslo to study at the University of Oslo where I got my masters degree. After finishing my education, I worked in the Oslo area for a few years for Birdstep Technology as a researcher and later as a chief architect. When the Oslo office shut down, I joined TANDBERG, which was later acquired by Cisco Systems, where I worked with developing video conferencing solutions. After some years in TANDBERG/Cisco, my wife and me moved to California in 2011 where I joined Google.
